Curry was recently voted the most popular takeaway dish in Scotland- even more popular than fish and chips.

Glasgow has the oldest and most numerous curry restaurants and Edinburgh is filled with curry class restaurants.

As this is the first ever Scottish Curry Awards, the aim is simple- to highlight the value of all those who work tirelessly to provide us with our perfect dish, whilst also recognizing those individuals who consume it with great passion.

Scotland is famous for winning the battle of being named best Curry city and on numerous occasions, Glasgow has been crowned Curry Capital of Britain, fighting off competition from 15 other cities in a public vote.

Scotland boasts fantastic Indian cuisine from places such as
The Dhabba
Ashoka Flame
Shish Mahal
Panjea and Britannia Spice,
(a much loved prestigious restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh.)
